Greenwich Dance supports a number of professional dance artists and companies at varying stages in their career, providing support that is bespoke to their specific needs.
This service is continually evolving helping artists in a way that is supportive to them. Artists are generally based in South East London, bridge both community and professional programmes in their work and have previously contributed to Greenwich Dance’s programme.
Requardt’s work is characterised by physically challenging choreography, a strong theatricality, dark humour and an overall sense of surrealism.
Under the joint artistic direction of Anaïs Bouts, Sara Lindström and Ida Uvaas, MIKS is a vehicle for artists to create work collectively, challenging conventional ideas about ownership and style in theatre and choreography. Exploring the edge of performance-making, MIKS create work which is stimulating, communicative and entertaining.
Noel Wallace made British ballet history as the English National Ballet‘s first black dancer. He danced with Bejart Ballet, choreographed at the South Bank Centre, collaborated with Brian Eno, photographer Dennis Morris and David Fielding.
Temujin trained at London Contemporary Dance School and, after spending four years as a lead member of the Jiving Lindy Hoppers, went on to establish his own touring company ‘Temujin Dance’ in 1993.
Levantes Dance Theatre (LDT) consists of key practitioners Bethanie Harrison and Eleni Edipidi. The company works primarily with dance theatre, with a constant enthusiasm for fusing artistic disciplines and indulging in vibrant aesthetics.
Formed in 1995, Step Out Arts (SOA) mainly focused on Chinese cultural programming to meet a demand for this type of work in the UK. However, In 2009 SOA was awarded funding from Arts Council England (ACE) for the successful delivery of the British East Asian Choreographers Development Scheme (BEACDS).
Dance Physics' creative program is delivered by professional and committed dance artists. The team is made up of excellent practitioners and performers working in the classical, commercial, modern and contemporary field.
